Data Protection Compliance

Twang Guitars, Twang Repairs, Twang Music Academy and The Twang Music Foundation only collect the minimum information relevant to it's students, suppliers, customers and other business associates. We do not use any information for marketing purposes, only for the use of making contact with students, suppliers, customers and other business associates.

 

Only authorised members of staff are allowed to use this information and only for it's intended purpose.

 

We only hold records of those who have given their express permission to hold their information and we keep it safe and secure. We would never divulge any of this information to a third party or any other organisation.

In the unlikely event of any data breaches, we will report this to the data protection authority within 72 hours of discovery. Any individuals impacted will be told where there exists a high risk to their rights and freedoms, e.g. identity theft, personal safety.

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018, Twang Guitars, Twang Repairs, Twang Music Academy and The Twang Music Foundation welcome any enquiries regarding the right of access to personal data through subject access requests with a view to:

 

  • The right to correct inaccurate personal data.

  • The right to have personal data erased.

  • The right to object.

When a student has stopped having lessons at Twang Music Academy we will hold their details for 30 days and then delete them from our database and our filing system. If you wish to recommence lessons you will need to re-register your details and thus give us the permission to hold your contact information.
